Holiday trip to Awana Kijal

Finally, a holiday to the east coast resort during the school break. Awana
Kijal a 5 star hotel? IMHO its more like a hotel struggling to be 5 star.
Nice beach, nice pool (not so clear water), nice golf course. Just outside
the hotel is a row of shophouses with KFC, 2 chinese restaurants, 1 grill
shop, a pub/restaurant and a malay café. Pretty convenient and food is not
bad.

No water in Bandar Utama

Low pressure since last week and this evening, the water stops. Residents have been calling the water department but they have no clue (at first). After a couple of days, they say its something to do with the Taman Tun reservoir. Then today they say it's something to do with the Damansara reservoir. Apparently Kinrara is also having water problems due to the dam in Semenyih.

The thing is, how can they not know what is the problem and apparently seems to be doing nothing to solve the problem

Rats for lunch

a few years ago, i did a cross-indochina land trip. from bangkok to
mukdahan, a border thai-lao town. crossed the mekong into lao and then
straight on to vietnam, and emerging at the seaside town of hue. it
was lunchtime in lao, and we decided to stop at the cleanest
restaurant along the highway. after lunch, i went to take a pee at the
back and return via the kitchen to see them skinning these things for
cooking... don't worry, everything taste like chicken..
